Why this story is important
When you ask yourself, “How do I want to be remembered?”, you bring into focus the values, priorities, and traits that matter most to you. It can guide how you live now, aligning daily choices with your desired legacy. Often, how people remember us is shaped by others’ perceptions, rumors, or partial knowledge. By writing this story yourself, you assert your own narrative. You help define which moments, struggles, and dreams you want preserved.
A “Remember Me” story lets you reflect on how others have shaped you, and how you, in turn, have touched lives. It’s a chance to name influences, thank people, and acknowledge your ripple effects. If people who read your story are family, friends, or descendants, your “Remember Me” narrative can become a treasured legacy — giving them insight into your heart, fears, dreams, and self-understanding.
Memory is fragile. Over time, stories get lost, details fade, and voices disappear. Writing your “Remember Me” story is a way to capture your voice — in your own words — for yourself and for others.
