My Mom

My Mom

Why this story is important

Your mother—or the mother figure who raised you—shaped your earliest sense of safety, love, and possibility. Capturing this story preserves her voice, values, and everyday moments that photos can’t convey, helping future generations understand her impact on who you are.

Share a story or special memory of your mom. What were the cherished moments that defined your relationship? Recall a favorite memory, or capture her life as you lived it as her child. Makes a wonderful Mother’s Day gift or a memorial tribute on her birthday.

Preparation checklist

  • Gather your thoughts and materials. Review your journals and notes that might help you remember details.

  • Decide who you’ll share the finished story with. Just yourself? Family? Friends? Public post? Thinking about your audience in advance will help guide what memories and details to include and which ones to leave out.
