Having a Baby

Emotional pregnant women stories of motherhood

Why this story is important

Pregnancy and birth are life-changing experiences. They mark the transition into parenthood, a new identity, and a new chapter in your life. Writing the story preserves the emotions, details, and atmosphere of that extraordinary time. Makes a great gift on your child’s birthday.

Every pregnancy and birth is unique—filled with challenges, joys, surprises, and sometimes struggles. Telling the story honors your strength, resilience, and the significance of bringing a new life into the world. Your child, and future generations, may one day want to know the story of how they came into the world. It connects them to their roots and helps them understand the love and effort that welcomed them into life. Sharing your pregnancy and birth story builds empathy and understanding with others—whether with your partner, family, friends, or other parents. It can be comforting, inspiring, and even healing for those who read or hear it.

Preparation checklist

  • Gather your thoughts and materials. Review your journals and notes that might help you remember details.
  • Browse your photo albums to stimulate memories and choose the photos you might want to use in the story.
  • Decide who you’ll share the finished story with. Just yourself? Family? Friends? Public post? Thinking about your audience in advance will help guide what memories and details to include and which ones to leave out.
